Key elements of my current affairs magazine
As current affairs is all about news and politics, as well as cultural and social issues, i want to base my magazine around these issues, so that it is aware to my audience what is happening in the UK right now, as well as around the world.
My audience is a 16-25 middle to up market demographic, both males and females, therefore i will need to appeal to that particular market of audience to make my magazine successful and popular. To do this, i need to select an appropriate location, model and content of my photographs i will be using.

My audience is a 16-25 middle to up market demographic, both males and females, therefore i will need to appeal to that particular market of audience to make my magazine successful and popular. To do this, i need to select an appropriate location, model and content of my photographs i will be using.
Location:
- Outside- beach, allyway, field : gives a more natural and social feel to the magazine
- Plain wall background- in a house etc- makes model stand out even more
Editing:
- If i was to do my magazine about the protests going on, then i will edit my photo to be black and white to show we are all equal
- Colourful is also attractive so i could edit the exposure etc of the photo on my next edition to attract more creative people- could be used more on my environment issue.
Models:
- I will use my classmates or friends and family to do my photographs- the more comfortable they feel, the better.
- I will get them to dress up etc to match the theme of my magazine
Language:
- Text- headlines, copy, masthead, by lines, stand first etc
- Images- long/mid shots, high/low angles
Content:
- Politics
- Health
- News
- Sport
- Business
- Finance
- Podcasts/ interviews
