Style model magazine

Image
I wanted to do a current affair magazine with a front cover that has been involved with real-life photography. I feel as if this gives it a more in-depth feel and makes it more realistic so i  can attract my audience, which is a socially conscious 16-25 middle market demographic. I like this Time magazine and how it has a border around it. This makes the actual main image appear brighter and more visible to their audience, it attracted my eye straight away. I also appeal to their font of text and their headline, it gives a simple but fresh feel to the magazine, and doesn't take up the whole front cover, so we can still see everything else on the cover as well. The colour palette of the magazine is quite natural and very brown-ish. This reflects the theme of the pandemic happening in the world, and the fears as well as the bored feeling that everyone is experiencing. This is also experienced with the choice of image chose, with two young adults looking bored a...

Magazine production company

I have chose this logo for my production company because its modern, fun but also quite simple. I made it colourful so that it would attract consumers to my magazines etc. Like The Week, i will make mine a weekly magazine because 74% of Dennis' readers don't read a daily newspaper, therefore making it a weekly magazine will make it more appealing to them,

Current affairs magazine genre

Image
A current affair magazine is a magazine that discusses political and cultural topics from a progressive perspective. It can be published in print and online, and supplemented by a podcast. Since the early 2000's, people have becoming more and more interested in the current affairs happening in the world. This has led to a growth in new magazines producing current affair content. By taking a longer view and by devoting more time and space to key events, current affairs magazines can help readers marshal their thoughts and shape them. They are premium magazines, meaning they are accurate, meaningful and deep.  Current affairs magazines appear to be in an increasing climate. The New Statesman, Private Eye, Prospect, the Spectator and the Week all enjoyed a spike in sales, according to ABC figures.
