  • Both boy and a girl- this will represent at least two of the different social groups, and make the magazine seem suitable for all genders.
First Edition:
  • All about protest and gender inequality- includes black lives matter.
  • Settings/location- streets/ally way- gives a more reality and urban feel to the theme. I also think it gives a powerful message about how real society is and the problems that people face everyday.
  • Models- Both female and male, but i will also try and include different races to diversify my magazine cover. This also expands my social group representations. I am going to take lots of different angles and shot types on the camera of the models, and then limit my choices out so i get a broader range.
  • Mise-en-scene- The clothes they wear and makeup etc will need to match my theme. Therefore, if i wad to do the black lives matter protest, i could do 'army lines' makeup and dress up in normal casual clothes, to show they are strong and equal.
  • Lighting- this is significant as it highlights features of the model and draws attention to what is going on.
Second edition:
  • This one will be more colourful- i will introduce the environmental issues and show what people have done to cause it/the affects
  • Models- i could use my family and friends, and use props to show how damaged the environment is, i will have different locations to show the real affect of climate change etc, to make it more realistic and catch the readers attention
  • Mise en scene- they will dress and look normally but wear second hand clothes, which i will feature/mention on my website to encourage more people to buy second hand clothes to save the planet.
  • Locations- Will mainly be outside to capture the real affects, however i could try and feature some photos inside places as well for contrast and show how our everyday lives are affecting the earths health.
  • I took landscape photos on Isle of Arran in Scotland, to make it seem visionary and realistic.*

Process of creating webpages

  I started off by creating an account on Wix and choosing a template i thought was appropiate for my current affairs magazine website: I played around with the layout, images, fonts, text and boxes so i could get used to it and that i would be comfortable changing it to my own house style etc. I began to take original images for my website, including a black lives matter post, a Corona vaccine image etc so i had some articles for my audience to read. After publishing a few articles, i began my audio content by doing an interview with Heather Crosbie about the environment which i included on my home page. I chose a grey- white and red colour scheme for my website, as it looks professional, fresh and is the similar house style as my contents pages. I also added a CoronaVirus Snapshot to match the conventions of other websites such as Time.
